In many instances, the change of dimension of kidney provides an important clinical value, and often isdecisive to evaluate the diagnosis and treatment of the renal disease. The kidney size was measured on abdominalroentgenograms obtained during intravenous pyelography in 315 normal Korean male. The result obtained are asfollow; 1. Right Kidney Left Kidney Length (cm) Width (cm) Length (cm) Width (cm) 11.93+0.75 6.22+0.14 12.32+0.476.32+0.47 2. The right kidney size is smaller than the left one, and mean difference is 0.4cm. 3. In the eldergroup, it showed little relation between age and kidney size.
