Abstract
While most intracranial meningiomas have characteristic CT findings, atypical CT features can give a source oferror in the diagnosis of meningioma, and the significance of them has scarcely been reported. The authorsreviewed records of a consecutive series of 2 patients with meningioma who underwent operation and pathologicallyprove, from January 1984 to December 1986. Among them 7 cases were analyzed as having atypical CT features ofmeningioma and CT findings were as follows: focal non-enhcancing lucency within tumor(5 cases), focal lucencyadjacent to tumor (1 case) and focal hyperdensity (1 case) and these CT findings were closely correllated withpathological findings.
