Transjugular embolization of the internal spermatic vein for the treatment of varicocele

Abstract

A transjugular approach for testicular venography and embolization of the internal spermatic vein was performed in 7 patients(6 left and 1 bilateral). Embolization were satisfactory in 6 or 7 patients. This transjugular technique fascilates subselective catheterization of the internal spermatic vein and its collateralsand enables coils to be placed deeply within these vessels.
