Abstract
Selective salpingography and salpingeal recanalization were performed in 24 women whose chief complaints wereinfertility in the Department of Radiology, Seoul National University Hospital from July to October 1989. A totalof 31 obstructed tubes were detected in conventional hysterosalpingography in the 24 women. selectivesalpingography was successful in 28 tubes (90%); Ostial salpingography was done in all 28 cases and midisthmicsalpingography was also performed in 6 cases. For the 12 tubes showing proximal or midisthmic obstruction in theselective salpingography, recanalization was tried and was successful in 5 cases. Selective salpingography isbelieved to provide more accurate causes and sites of salpingeal obstruction than hysterosalpingography and, inthe cases of salpingeal obstruction, recanalization procefure could be followed successfully.
