Abstract
Thirty-six patients had reconstructive surgery of injured hand with microsurgical technique, at department of orthopedic surgey Yonsei universitycollege of medicine from 1982 to 1990. The result were as follow:1. There were thirty-three cases in men and three cases in women who had a mean age of 24.4 years. These patients were followed for an average of 19.9 months. 2. The causes of injury were 21 cases in machinery injury, 11 cases in traffic accidents, 3 cases in electric burn, and 1 case in explosive injury. 3. There were 11 cases with wraparound flap, 5 cases with tendocutaneous flap, 4 cases with dorsalis pedis flap, and then scapular flap, parascapular flap, and groin flap were applied. 4. Twenty-nine cases were successful in reconstructive surgery with microsurgical technique. We considered that function and cosmetic appearance were excellent after reconstructive surgery of injured hand with microsurgical technique.
