Abstract

Fracture and dislocation of the hip with ipsilateral fracture of the femoral shaft is a rare injury, and this injury follows on severe trauma, combined with multiple organ damage. The surgeon as usually aware of the femoral shaft fracture but the hip joint dislocation is often not recognized at initial trauma. Early diagnosis and reduction of the hip joint dislocation is to decrease complication, and then early joint motion and anatomical reduction of the hip joint is to improve prognosis.
