Abstract
Six cases of nonvisualization of the gallbladder lumen in patients with acute viral hepatitis are presented.Follow-up ultrasonographic examinations done during the convalescent period in 2 patients showed normalgallbladders and this was correlated with improvement in enzyme levels. It is suggested that acute viral hepatitisshold be considered in the diferential diagnosis of nonvisualization of the gallbladder lumen on sonogram.
