We decided to retract the paper entitled ‘Comparison of Effects of Alendronate and Raloxifene on Lumbar Bone Mineral Density, Bone Turnover, and Lipid Metabolism in Elderly Women with Osteoporosis’ [Yonsei Med J 2008;49(1):119-128] by Iwamoto J, Sato Y, Uzawa M, et al. Based on information that were discovered after publication, we have recently become aware of a number of issues related to data duplication and scientific misconduct.
