Abstract
A case of Gargoylism developed in 6 months infant was reported with a review of the literature. This infantvisited out Hospital on 24th, March, 1972, with bilateral inguinal hernia. Routine examination of the chest P-Aview and plain abdomen was performed. Congenital and hereditary defects of the bony structures includinganthropoid shaped pelvis, tilted sacrum, irregularities of the acetabulum and femur head and club-like expansionof the lower ribs were noted. The lateral view of lumbar spine showed typical inferior beak-like lipping of the2nd lumbar vertebra body and dorsolumbar kyphosis.
