We are the authors of the manuscript titled “Edaravone alleviates lung damage in mice with hypoxic pulmonary hypertension by increasing nitric oxide synthase 3 expression” (2023;27(3):209-220. DOI:10.4196/KJPP.2023.27.3.209).

We are writing to formally submit a request for the retraction of this article.

Our team was notified by the Office of Scientific Research Integrity, Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, that during their investigations into research misconduct, concerns were raised regarding potential academic misconduct in the aforementioned published paper. We take this matter with the utmost seriousness. Although our internal review is still ongoing, out of the highest respect for research integrity, academic norms, and to maintain the sanctity of the scientific record, we have decided to proactively retract this paper to eliminate any potential negative impact on the scientific community.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and additional workload this retraction may cause your journal. We also acknowledge the stringent oversight provided by the Office of Scientific Research Integrity in upholding research integrity. This incident has served as a profound warning, prompting us to deeply reflect on the oversights and deficiencies in our research practices.

We hereby solemnly commit that in all future research work, we will **strictly adhere to all national regulations and guidelines concerning research integrity and scholarly conduct, uphold academic ethics, and prevent any form of academic misconduct.** We will enhance research integrity education for all team members and implement a more rigorous process for data management and manuscript preparation to ensure the authenticity, originality, and thoroughness of all our future research outcomes.
